David Carey, PhD, Director of Research for the Weis Center for Research, in conjunction with the program director and mentor, will oversee research technique and basic science instruction. The proposed timeline for research is as follows:

• Year 1: Formal research proposal completed and approved
• Year 2: Research work
• Year 3: Completion and submission of research at a National Meeting

Graduation requirement: completed research paper submitted and accepted for publication
