| | About Us | Geisinger's Dermatopathology Fellowship has five dedicated dermatopathologists involved in teaching our fellows, and an excellent case mix of inflammatory dermatoses, tumors, and immunofluorescence. We have an excellent molecular lab, and the fellowship provides ample exposure to molecular diagnostic techniques as well as opportunities for research. Our large case volume provides ample opportunities to develop excellent diagnostic skills. We have dedicated staff in clinical dermatology and surgical pathology actively engaged in teaching for dermatopathology fellows and we welcome applications from those with background in either dermatology or pathology. The dermatopathology service is vital and growing. We believe that our combination of high volume, love of teaching, and service excellence make for an outstanding fellowship. Mission statement The Geisinger Dermatopathology Fellowship provides not only the fundamental knowledge and skills required to become a capable and competent dermatopathologist but also to foster an enthusiasm for life long learning, academic curiosity, and advancement in the field. We will assist the fellows in achieving their highest potential as they grow and become an adept, ethical professional through a structured program of learning experiences, timely feedback to the fellows, evaluation of the faculty and program, and mentoring. Learners should develop skills of communication, teaching and leadership. |
