The Rheumatology Department is currently involved in several clinical research trials:
Over the past 3 years, the Rheumatology Department has had 29 research presentations at the National ACR meetings and 25 academic publications, attesting to the Rheumatology Fellowship’s strong commitment to research.
In addition, current trainees are involved in 3 rheumatology quality improvement research initiatives which will have a significant impact on how we approach patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
For the past 5 years, Dr. Harrington has been selected as an ACR/REF preceptorship award recipient. This award introduces medical students between their first and second years to the field of rheumatology.
