General salary and benefit information for Geisinger residents and fellows; certain programs offer different salaries, check when applying.

Vacation/CME

  • 15 working days per year
  • Five CME meeting days for R-2 and above
  • Fellows receive 10 CME days in year one of fellowship and 15 CME days during subsequent years.
  • Expenses and time away for paper/poster presentations at national conferences

  • PGY1  $49,052.75
  • PGY2  $51,145.12
  • PGY3  $52,503.09
  • PGY4  $54,572.71
  • PGY5  $56,719.61
  • PGY6  $59,201.93
  • PGY7  $61,283.75
CME/Moving Expenses
  • $500 reimbursement for moving expenses
  • R1 - $500 for books/journal subscriptions
  • R2 and greater - $1,500 per year for books and CME
  • Fellows - $2,000 per year for books and CME
  • Five relocation days
