Geisinger's high volume practice with high percentage of pathology combined with our robust teaching conference schedule provides a strong foundation to the learner. Except for AFIP, all rotations are at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. On this campus is the Janet Weis Children's Hospital, the Women's Pavilion, the Weis Research Center, the Center for Health Research and Level 1 Trauma Center. Liver and renal transplants are performed here. There are many opportunities for systems-based practice and practiced-based learning. There is strong institutional support from the office of graduate medical education.
The majority of our staff radiologists are fellowship trained. There is an excellent faculty to resident ratio with one-on-one interaction on rotations promoting a close working relationship. All of our radiologists are board certified. |
