Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What kind of operating experience can I expect, and how do the case logs compare nationally?
A. Urology residents begin their operating room experience from the first year. They will share OR cases and will have the chance to scrub in on a variety of cases. With the new technology that has recently come to Geisinger, they will have a chance to assist on cases using the DiVinci robot and also assist in cryoablation procedures.
Case logs for our residents consistently compare very favorably and frequently exceed the national averages.
