Welcome to Guthrie Campus (Sayre)

Where you’ll learn

Guthrie is one of the nation's first multispecialty group practices. More than 220 specialty physicians and providers practice in Guthrie's large multispecialty Sayre facility, which serves as a major regional specialty care referral center.

Guthrie is the sponsoring institution for ACGME-accredited residencies in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, orthopaedic surgery and general surgery; and fellowships in cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary disease and critical care.

This 288-bed tertiary care center offers a wide variety of multispecialty services, including:

  • Cancer care
  • Cardiac care
  • Minimally invasive and robotic surgery
  • Trauma care at a Level II trauma center
  • Wound care

At Guthrie Campus, you’ll have access to a primary stroke center and Guthrie Air.

You’ll also be able to rotate at these Guthrie sites:

Where you’ll live

Guthrie Campus offers clinical sites in Pennsylvania’s Northern Tier and in neighboring upstate New York. Sayre is nestled in Pennsylvania’s Endless Mountains region, home to more than 180,000 people. Take in breathtaking mountain views, enjoy a variety of outdoor activities or soak up the region’s history.

You’ll enjoy quaint towns dotted with bed-and breakfasts, state and national parks and surprising amenities like the historic French Azilum. You won’t want to miss Cherry Springs State Park, where visitors come from across the globe to experience the Dark Skies phenomenon — the lack of urban light offers visitors an astonishing view of the galaxy.
