Schedule
  • Student will report to the Office of Medical Education (Tracey Lepley) at 8:30 am on the first morning of the rotation for an overall hospital orientation, HIPAA training, EPIC training and receive system accesses.
  • Student will then be sent to Dermatology Residency Coordinator (Tammy Rodenhaver)
  • Student will be oriented to the rotation by the dermatology house resident
  • Participate in daily clinic activities, consisting of working directly with the walk-in resident or an assigned attending
  • Attend didactic sessions as discussed on first day of rotation
    • Dermatology Book Club (optional)
    • Journal Club (student may be asked to present assigned article)
    • Clinical images
    • Basic Science/Surgery Club
    • Dermatopathology (optional)
  • Attend Geisinger Dermatology Grand Rounds
    • Hershey Grand Rounds (optional)
    • Philadelphia Grand Rounds (optional)
  • Prepare and deliver 5-10 minute informative talk based on a clinical case, given to residents and faculty at last Journal Club during rotation
