| | Goals and Objectives | - There are numerous weekly academic conferences including radiology conference, GI journal club, research conference, luminal GI histopathology conference, liver histopathology conference, and a Friday morning conference which alternates between board review, foregut conference, colorectal surgery conference, M&M, and a resident case conference on a rotating basis. The schedule for these conferences is posted within the department and will be included in the student’s packet.
- The student will be able to shadow staff members on a daily basis both in the outpatient clinic and on the inpatient service. They will also attend procedures in the endoscopy unit to gain a wide exposure to the clinical spectrum of patients that are seen within the department and the disease entities that are treated, as well as the unique blend of clinical and bedside skills that each staff member brings to the patients bedside.
