Our goal is to introduce the medical student to the field of gastroenterology, hepatology, and clinical nutrition in a fashion that is both exciting and educational. We believe that the student will complete this rotation with an excellent understanding of what gastroenterology encompasses, and how our field fits into the matrix of internal medicine, as well as interacting with other services such as general surgery, internal medicine, and the intensive care unit. All staff members mentioned above have broad training and are board certified in gastroenterology. Several have special interests including Dr. Still who specializes in nutritional support, evaluation and treatment of malnutrition, and evaluation for morbid obesity and bariatric surgery.
