| | Introduction | The Division of Neurology at Geisinger offers 3rd year core clerkship and 4th year electives in adult clinical neurology. The department has had a rich tradition in medical student and resident education. The practice cares for over 900 inpatients and over 9000 outpatients per year. The high volume of patient encounters provides for opportunities for exceptional neurological care while allowing for clinical teaching in a wide variety of neurological diseases. Rotating students will learn an organized symptoms approach to the evaluation and management of neurologic diseases. - Students will have three outpatient and one inpatient week of training.
- Student will spend one day in the neurophysiology laboratory (half a day each of EEG and EMG).
- Student will have one on one interaction with neurology staff and an opportunity to personally care for patients and perform procedures.
- There will be no on-call responsibilities
- There will be no weekend responsibilities
