Students on rotation in otolaryngology can expect to spend time in both the clinic and in the OR. Our department is divided into two teams: pediatrics/otology and general/head and neck/facial plastics and reconstruction. The student will split his or her time on each team, as assigned by the medical student director at the start of the rotation.

• In general, the students and residents round in the mornings before clinic/OR. 
• Morning clinic starts at 8 am. 
• Afternoon clinic begins at about 12:45 pm.
• OR cases start at 7:30 am.

Every other Wednesday, there are otolaryngology didactics, with includes both resident and attending lectures, M&M, and interesting case presentations.

When on the Head and Neck service, the students will spend Wednesday afternoons participating in a multi-disciplinary Head and Neck Tumor Conference.
