Goals & Objectives

The student is expected to function as a member of the pediatric infectious disease team, seeing inpatients on the primary service, completing consults on the inpatient unit and seeing patients in the outpatient clinic. The student is expected to review current literature pertinent to cases seen in the hospital and clinic.

In addition, the student is expected to complete a written scholarly project during their rotation. The scholarly project can take the format of a case report, chart review, journal article review, PowerPoint presentation or other review of current literature. The student should attend regularly scheduled resident conferences including morning report, intake rounds, noon conference and grand gounds.
