Recommended reading includes relevant sections in Nelson’s Textbook of Pediatrics, The Red Book and Principles and Practice of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (eds. Long, Pickering and Prober).

In addition, the student is encouraged to conduct reviews of the current literature using UpToDate, Ovid and MD Consult. Journals include: Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, Pediatrics, Clinical Infectious Diseases and Journal of Infectious Diseases.
