Geisinger’s 12 Surgical Suites (Cardio-Thoracic, Urological, Neurological, Vascular, Oral, General, OB/GYN, ENT, Eye, Orthopaedic, Plastic and Pain) provide surgical intervention to all age groups. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, surgical care is provided to trauma patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For example, recent additions include internal and external teleconferencing equipment, augmented post-anesthesia recovery areas, and a state-of-the-art trauma bay. Advanced programs like robotic, minimally invasive, and solid organ transplant surgeries bring a wide variety of surgical options for patient care and physician instruction.

Outpatient surgery centers offer the convenience of same-day procedures with the safety of a full surgical staff. Two locations (Danville and Wilkes-Barre) streamline outpatient management.
