Choose from online master’s degree and certificate programs in three specialized areas:

Genomics

The science of genomics is drastically changing the field of medicine. Through one of our genomics programs, you’ll come to understand the role genetics plays in our health. 

Choose from two programs:

  • Graduate certificate in genomics: Four-course, 12-credit program. Credits can be applied toward completion of the master’s in genomics.

    Courses you’ll take include:
    • Introduction to genomics
    • Genetic concepts testing and translation to healthcare
    • Ethical, legal and social issues in genomics
    • Cancer genomics
  • Master’s degree in genomics: 36-credit graduate program. In addition to the courses included in the certificate program, you’ll also take classes in:
    • Principles of genetics
    • Chromosomes and human disease
    • Molecular basis of human inherited disease
    • Human population genetics

Health administration

Healthcare systems need forward-thinking leaders who understand the legal, political and market forces that impact an organization. And with growing demand, there’s never been a better time to invest in a career in healthcare administration.

Choose from two programs:

  • Graduate certificate in health administration: A program designed to help you advance in or transition into a career in healthcare. Credits can be applied to the master’s in health administration. During this four-course, 12-credit program, you’ll take classes like:
    • Introduction to health delivery and administration
    • Understanding health information systems
    • Healthcare law, regulation & ethics
    • Healthcare quality improvement
  • Master’s degree in health administration: This 36-credit graduate program focuses on professional development and building credentials. Besides the courses included in the certificate program, you’ll take classes like:
    • Advanced financial management in healthcare
    • Epidemiology and population health
    • Operations management in healthcare
    • Business communication for healthcare administrators

Health informatics

In today’s digital world, managing and evaluating patient information is a critical part of improving treatment. You’ll graduate with the skills you need to:

  • Improve patient outcomes
  • Support advancements in technology that improve care
  • Use technology to streamline processes

Choose from two programs:

  • Graduate certificate in health informatics: Credits can be applied to the master’s in health informatics. During this four-course, 12-credit program, you’ll take classes, including:
    • Introduction to health informatics
    • Understanding health information systems
    • Data management and utilization
    • Strategic planning in health informatics

  • Master’s degree in health informatics: This 36-credit graduate program focuses on professional development and building credentials. Besides the courses included in the certificate program, you’ll take classes like:
    • Advanced technology in healthcare informatics
    • U.S healthcare policy and politics in informatics
    • Introduction to data science
    • Public health informatics and telehealth
