Geisinger Education and Medical Simulation (GEMS) Center in located on the west end of the Geisinger Medical Center campus in Danville, PA, and is housed in three separate buildings:
The GEMS Simulation Center is in the former ILB (Interim Lab Building). It is a small yellow brick building directly to the left of the annex. It contains three high-fidelity simulation rooms with attached control/observation rooms, and a combination 30-person classroom/task training room.
The GEMS classrooms, surgical skills lab, computer lab and multi-purpose room are located on the first floor of the School of Nursing. One classroom can seat 30 and the other can seat 40, both have presentation systems for didactic. The computer lab seats 24.
The GEMS standardized patient rooms and conference room are in the Mobile Office Building (MOB) II. There are six simulated clinic rooms for standardized patient interactions.
