Volunteer to be a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) interviewer

Would you like to be part of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s efforts to bring more high-quality physicians and better access to healthcare to northeast and central Pennsylvania?

Our community-based medical school was founded by a grassroots effort, and we’re always looking to establish even deeper connections with local people and organizations. That’s why we’re inviting you to participate in our student recruitment process as an interviewer during our Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) process.

The MMI consists of a series of short, structured interviews that assess applicants’ qualities beyond academic achievement, including:

  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Maturity
  • Teamwork
  • Empathy
  • Reliability
  • Resiliency
  • Communication skills

This year’s interviews will be virtual, so you don’t need to travel. And you decide how many interviews you participate in, so you don’t feel overburdened.
