Volunteer to be an Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) interviewer
Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) was established through the grassroots efforts of visionary individuals who foresaw what a community-based medical school would bring to the region and worked to make it a reality. Their goal was to provide more physicians and improved healthcare resources for the people of northeast and central Pennsylvania. The vision was to create a unique medical education experience that focused on caring for people in the context of their lives and in their community. Our mission is to educate aspiring physicians and scientists to serve society using a community-based, patient-centered, interprofessional and evidence-based model of education that is committed to inclusion, promotes discovery and utilizes innovative techniques.
As a way to further engage our community in educating the physicians of tomorrow, we invite you to participate in our recruitment process by becoming an interviewer during our Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) process. The MMI consists of a series of short, structured interview stations used to assess non-cognitive qualities including cultural sensitivity, maturity, teamwork, empathy, reliability, resiliency and communication skills. All interviews for the 2022 admissions cycle will be held virtually. If you are interested in learning more about participating as an MMI interviewer at GCSOM, please fill out the following contact form and a staff member from the Admissions Office will contact you shortly.
