Committee on Graduate Admissions

The Committee on Graduate Admissions (CGA) seeks to admit talented, community-minded students who wish to pursue further graduate study, attend professional school (such as medical, dental or optometry), gain entry into a health-related field or advance within an organization.

Responsibilities of CGA

CGA ensures that the students who are accepted to the Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) program demonstrate a multi-faceted congruence with Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Read the Holistic Review Statement

Responsibilities of the admissions office

  • Oversee communication with candidates.
  • Provide bi-weekly status reports detailing application totals.
  • Assist in the application of admission best practices as they benefit the overall recruitment for the MBS program.
  • Actively recruit quality candidates for MBS program.
