Supplemental Psychiatric Education for Primary Care (SPEPC)

This online behavioral health education program is available at no cost to you. It contains 12 modules. 

Behavioral health initiative (BHI) modules are aimed at helping primary care providers manage patients with behavioral health conditions. 

Each module takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Continuing education credit is available. This program was created through the generous funding of The Moses Taylor Foundation and AllOne Foundation.

Registration and enrollment

Step 1: Go to SPEPC registration page.
Step 2: Enter new user information and click “create account.”
Step 3: Check your email to complete registration. Allow 24 to 48 hours for registration email.
Step 4: Once you receive the welcome email, click on “set password” to continue. Save your password to log in.
Step 5:  Click on “BHI module 101” under “learning library” to enroll.
Step 6: Get started.

Continuing medical education (CME)/continuing education (CE)

You’ll earn CME/CE credit for each completed module if you:

  • Earn an 80% or above on the post-test
  • Complete an evaluation.

Names and email addresses of eligible participants will be submitted weekly to the Geisinger Continuing Education office.

Follow these instructions to access your CME/CE credits:  

  • Log into our CE Portal and click “my transcript.” Choose the date range you want to view.
  • Complete the evaluation at the end of the module(s) to receive credit. Allow time for CME/CE credits to reflect on your transcript. Contact the CE office with any concerns: ccpd@geisinger.edu.
