Nicholas Howard, MD, MPH
Nicholas Howard, MD, MPH’s journey to medicine started in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he was raised in a Guyanese household with his grandmother who had many health concerns. She looked after him and many others which greatly influenced his decision to pursue a career dedicated to the service of children. He received his bachelor's of science in health and wellness from Buffalo State College as well as his master’s in public health administration from the University at Buffalo before finishing medical school at Xavier University School of Medicine. He returned to Buffalo to complete his residency in pediatrics at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo which is where he developed a passion for initiatives based in global health and providing care to underserved populations. This ultimately led him to Philadelphia, Pa., where he is a general pediatrician and attending physician at Tri-County Pediatric and Abington Memorial Hospital, respectively.
