Following a two-year stint as a fifth-grade teacher in rural New York, Jeffrey S. Pallas, PA-C, was introduced to a career in medicine through the new (at the time) concept of physician assistants in the early 1970s. Following his acceptance and graduation from Hahnemann Medical College, he began and completed a 41-year career in emergency medicine, internal medicine and family medicine, predominantly in the Pocono Mountain, Pa. area. He retired from clinical practice in 2017 and transitioned to his role as instructor of clinical and communication skills for MD1 and MD2, and serves as Art & Practice of Medicine core faculty, among other roles, at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
