Jennifer Boardman, PhD
Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology
Biography
Jennifer M. Boardman, PhD, received her PhD in biomedical sciences with specializations in microbiology and immunology from Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wis., Dr. Boardman investigated the role of chemokines in the repair of intestinal epithelial barrier integrity in inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Boardman served as a research associate at Dartmouth Medical School in Lebanon, N.H., where her research interests include innate immunity in the female reproductive tract, sexually transmitted infections and female sex hormone regulation of immunity. Currently, Dr. Boardman focuses her scholarly activities on the development of holistic approaches to enhance graduate student academic and professional success.
