Biography

Abhishek Yadav, MBBS, MSc, teaches anatomy and embryology at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, as well as Case-based Learning. He is course-director of Human Structure and Function, a 22-credit course required of all first-year medical students. He has been named “Professor of the Year” by Geisinger Commonwealth students five times since 2014.

Dr. Yadav said he loves to teach and it is his students who “keep him moving.” He works in the school’s Center for Learning Excellence to help students review material for the USMLE Step One exam. He has also taught the Marywood physician assistant program. Prior to teaching at Geisinger Commonwealth, Dr. Yadav taught at St. George’s University in Grenada. He is married and has a daughter and a son.
