Biography
Heather Mecone, MSN, CNM, is clinical instructor of OB-GYN at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. She currently serves as a facilitator for the Art and Practice of Medicine and Patient-centered Medicine courses for first- and second-year medical students and as a preceptor at Geisinger Wyoming Valley for third-year medical students in their OB-GYN clinical rotations.
She has previous experience as faculty for other colleges of medicine as well as for both obstetrics and gynecology and family medicine residency programs. She also frequently serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner and nurse midwife students.
She works as a full-time certified nurse midwife for Geisinger Wyoming Valley and is excited to be a part of opening the new Childbirth Center at Geisinger Community Medical Center in October 2019.
