Biography
Carly Ellman, MSW, LCSW, received her master’s in social work (MSW) from Fordham University and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the states of Pennsylvania and Florida. Over the past 19 years, she has had extensive research and clinical experiences, including but not limited to, inpatient and outpatient adolescent/adult mental health services, eating disorders, postpartum depression and drug and alcohol treatment. Prior to joining Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Mrs. Ellman was an assistant professor of social work at Misericordia University. She has taught at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service and Tulane University School of Social Work. Mrs. Ellman embedded service learning into all her classes and is dedicated to continuing to work together with the community in and out of the classroom. Currently, she maintains a private practice in Dallas, Pa., where she specializes in working with adolescents.Education
