Biography
Kimberly Kovalick, DO, was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and returned to Wilkes-Barre to complete family medicine training at Wyoming Family Practice Residency. Since 1998, she has been employed at Geisinger Kingston, and in 2000, she became the site lead.
From 2005 – 2009, Dr. Kovalick was a member of the Geisinger Performance Improvement Committee for Luzerne County, and from 2009 – 2018, she chaired the committee. From 2009 – 2014, she was a member of Governor’s Chronic Care Initiative Northeast Region.
Since 2010, Dr. Kovalick has been involved with precepting GCSOM South Campus medical students. In 2012, she accepted a position as South Campus regional clerkship director for family medicine. In 2017, she accepted the role of regional assistant dean, Northeast. Also in 2017, she accepted the position of medical director, Luzerne/Wyoming County. In 2020, she accepted the position of assistant dean, primary care.
Dr. Kovalick is married to Michael Kovalick, DO, and they have two children, Michael and Andrew.
