Central Campus (Danville)

Comprehensive training in the heart of central Pennsylvania

Where you’ll learn

Geisinger is a complete, integrated healthcare system, with hospitals, clinics, medical and health professions, nursing education and health insurance. Central Campus is at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, the heart of the system, where more than 2,000 healthcare professionals deliver care.

Geisinger Medical Center is the only hospital in the region designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and we’re central Pennsylvania’s only Level I trauma center. With nationally recognized, award-winning specialty areas and modern facilities, it offers virtually every type of care. Central Campus also includes Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, the region’s only children’s hospital, providing the highest level of pediatric care across more than 30 specialties and subspecialties.

This 550-bed tertiary care center offers:

Community

Situated along the North Branch of the Susquehanna River, Danville has a history forged in iron and in innovative healthcare. More than 80,000 people call this area home.

You’ll have endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, like biking, camping and skiing. PPL’s Montour Preserve features over 14 miles of hiking and walking trails, picnicking, fishing and boating on Lake Chillisquaque.

And when you’re not outside, explore the local area, eat at one of the many restaurants, go shopping or visit a local festival.

Knoebels Amusement Resort, America’s largest free admission amusement park, is only 20 minutes away and is open from spring through early fall.
