Central Campus (Danville)

Geisinger is a complete, integrated healthcare system, with hospitals, clinics, medical, health professions and nursing education and health insurance. Central Campus and Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) are the heart of the system, where more than 2,000 healthcare professionals deliver care.

Designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, GMC is the only one in the region. And we’re central Pennsylvania’s only Level I trauma center. With many nationally recognized, award-winning specialty areas and modern facilities, central campus offers virtually every type of care. Central campus also includes Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, the region’s only children’s hospital, providing the highest level of pediatric care across more than 30 specialties and subspecialties.

This 550-bed tertiary care center offers:

Community

Situated along the North Branch of the Susquehanna River, Danville has a history forged in iron and in innovative healthcare. More than 80,000 people call this area home. And when you’re not outside, explore the local area, eat at one of the many restaurants, go shopping or visit a local festival.

Additionally, Knoebels Amusement Resort, America’s largest free admission amusement park, is only 20 minutes away and is open from spring through early fall.
