Geisinger's Department of Critical Care Medicine accepts four fellows annually into our Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited two-year Critical Care Fellowship program.

Eligibility

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited medical school, have completed an accredited U.S. internal medicine or emergency medicine residency program and be board eligible in internal medicine or emergency medicine per American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)/American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) guidelines.

Application process

Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Refer to the ERAS website for directions. Paper or incomplete applications will not be accepted or reviewed. Submit a complete application including:

  • Application form
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Medical school transcript
  • Three letters of recommendation (one must be from the program director of prior residency or fellowship)

Due to the ongoing pandemic, follow ERAS updates for deadlines. This year, we’ll conduct virtual interviews.
