Scholarship at Geisinger is vast. There are many opportunities to join ongoing trials and abundance of support in starting your own project. Geisinger has had an electronic medical record for over a decade and serves millions of patients equating to endless possibilities in synthesizing and analyzing data. The Henry Hood Center for Research is located on main campus. Throughout training, fellows are exposed to advanced biostatistics courses including, data summarization, study design, sample size considerations, multiple group comparisons and regression models for binary and time-to-event outcomes, etc. Given the size of our institution, multiple randomized control trials are also occurring which allow for fellow participation. Innovation occurs through continuous quality improvement. Current fellows hold research grants, are in the process of manuscript publication in well-known peer reviewed journals and have presented across the country. We have avid faculty involvement in scholarship including well known online resources and ICU survivorship. This fellowship welcomes and supports the continued growth of knowledge in scholarship.
