Kara E. Cooper, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Dr. Cooper is a graduate of the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at Wilkes University. She earned a doctor of pharmacy degree in 2020 with a minor in Spanish. She is currently completing her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Geisinger Clinic Northeast. Her professional interests include ambulatory care, including the management of anticoagulation, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and oncology. Other professional interests include precepting and development of student pharmacists. Upon completion of PGY1 residency, she hopes to continue her career in ambulatory care as a Medication Therapy Disease Management (MTDM) clinical pharmacist within Geisinger.

Rachel Lazevnick, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Dr. Lazevnick is a graduate of the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at Wilkes University. She earned her doctor of pharmacy degree in 2020 along with a minor in dance. After graduation she matched as a post graduate year one pharmacy resident at Geisinger Clinic Northeast. Her professional interests within the ambulatory care setting include anticoagulation, diabetes, COPD and chronic pain management. Other professional areas of interest include precepting and student development. Upon completion of residency she hopes to continue to practice pharmacy in the ambulatory care setting within Geisinger.
