Why Geisinger? During my final year of pharmacy school, I was exposed to many different pharmacy settings within Geisinger and fell in love with the ambulatory care program. Geisinger’s ambulatory care program allows pharmacists to work at the top of their licenses among an interdisciplinary team to improve patient care. The program is continually expanding to improve its outreach to members of our community through the creation of new programs such as Geisinger 65 Forward and specialties like dermatology and migraine management. I am excited to be a part of such a great team of pharmacists who work together to improve patient outcomes.

Sarah Tucker, PharmD
Pharmacy school: Purdue University College of Pharmacy
Interests: Cardiology, ambulatory care, primary care, diabetes management
Why Geisinger? I was impressed by the amount of direct patient care experiences afforded by this program. I spend five days a week interacting with patients and improving skills needed to become an independent, well-rounded provider. The extensive collaborative practice agreements within Geisinger allow pharmacists to practice at the top of their licenses. Pharmacists are truly recognized and valued as an integral part of the care team within the health system. The well-developed cardiology practice was also a big draw for me.
