Mark A. Seeley, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic specialist. His clinical interests include pediatric and young adult hip reconstruction, pediatric sports medicine, pediatric trauma and upper/lower extremity deformity. Dr. Seeley is also associate program director for orthopaedic surgery and associate professor of surgery at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Dr. Seeley earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, and a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. In his personal life, Dr. Seeley enjoys basketball and woodworking.

Ara was born in Armenia and moved to the United States when he was 4 years old. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied biology and history. After college, Ara worked in an emergency department in Los Angeles where he helped manage treatment for patients with traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, developing interest in the field of orthopedic surgery. He practiced tae kwon do throughout his youth and played football in high school, and he still enjoys staying physically active in his free time playing basketball, volleyball and going rock climbing with his classmates at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

Jacob grew up just outside of Pittsburgh and graduated from Penn State in 2022 with a degree in biology. Throughout his undergrad years, he also worked as a medical assistant, a lab TA and a youth baseball coach. Nowadays, Jacob spends his free time at the gym, skiing, golfing and hanging with friends. He is most interested in orthopaedic surgery.

Emily grew up in the area of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and graduated from Boston University with a degree in biology and minor in human physiology. She went on to pursue a master’s degree in exercise science and chronic disease at the University of North Florida. Emily is interested in practicing family and sports medicine in the future, and looks forward to helping patients maintain their health and return to being physically active. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, going to the gym and learning new sports such as snowboarding.

Ryan Kempski grew up in Wilmington, Del., and graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in biological sciences. He initially became interested in MSK through swimming in high school as a freestyle sprinter. When he’s not studying, he enjoys weightlifting, operating Geisinger Commonwealth’s “Guy Singers” a cappella group and spending time in the outdoors. He especially enjoys exploring food options in Scranton, Philadelphia and NYC with friends.

Kevin is from Sarver, Pa., about 30 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. He went to the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2021 with a degree in bioengineering and a minor in chemistry. During his gap year he worked as a clinical research assistant in the Pittsburgh Vaccine Trials Unit as a part of the COVID vaccine trials. He’s interested in orthopaedics, sports medicine and pediatrics. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and soccer and supporting his Pittsburgh sports teams.

Sean grew up in East Brunswick, N.J., and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019 with a degree in neuroscience. After college, he spent three years in a neuroscience lab studying the development of the temporal lobe in humans. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, skiing and watching NY sports teams.
