Research Interests

I am most interested in critically evaluating the care that women receive during labor and delivery so that obstetric providers can ensure we are providing the most evidence based care in order to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes. In prior studies I have focused on comparing sutures and staples for cesarean skin closure to determine which results in less wound morbidity, morphine sleep as a therapeutic and diagnostic option for women with painful contractions who are not presenting in active labor, and survey studies to optimize our counseling of patients who are undergoing labor induction.
