MRI Core
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Research Core facility provides access to state-of-the-art imaging methodologies and expertise for Geisinger and Bucknell researchers and their collaborators throughout the region.
The MRI Research Core is primarily housed within the Geisinger-Bucknell Autism & Developmental Medicine Center in Lewisburg, PA, where a Siemens 3.0T Siemens Tim Trio MRI scanner is available for research use, supported by funding from both Geisinger and Bucknell University. Additionally, a 1.5T Siemens Aera MRI scanner may be available for research use at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA on a case-by case basis.
Image Data Brokering
The Department of Translational Data Science and Informatics provides Image Data brokering services for faculty and clinicians who require either identified or deidentified images. A fully functional Research PACS has been established and there is a direct link to Clinical PACS for research purposes.
