UroGynecology

Get the specialized training you need to hone your skills in all areas of urogynecology.

The UroGyn elective is designed for the student who’s interested in pursuing a career in obstetrics and gynecology. This rotation provides the student with a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to the evaluation, work-up, diagnosis and treatment of common urogynecologic conditions under faculty supervision. Students will be exposed to urologic diagnostic testing, including urodynamics, pelvic organ prolapse evaluation and cystoscopy. The student will be part of the multidisciplinary care team in outpatient, operating room and inpatient settings. Much of the teaching is 1:1 with faculty and rotating residents on service. The goal is to gain in-depth knowledge of the identification, evaluation and management of patients with pelvic floor disorders.
