Community partnership collaborations

Learn how we increase wellness and access to quality healthcare by engaging the communities we serve.

Community engagement

Geisinger College of Health Sciences was dreamed into being by our community and we will never forget that heritage. Whether it’s research that improves healthcare delivery or education that partners with local agencies, accountability to the community is a key measure of our success.

Engaging with our communities shapes our approach to medical education and influences everything we do, including by collaborating with community partners to find solutions for the health needs of our region.

We’ve developed many partnerships to promote access to quality healthcare and increase wellness throughout the communities we serve. Our College builds pathway programs for local students to excel in science and health-related careers. It educates doctors, nurses and other health professionals who remain dedicated to our communities after graduation. It reaches out to agency partners to tackle the most challenging issues we face right here in our own neighborhoods. And it opens its doors to the community to connect, to share and to challenge us. For our learners, the lessons learned here can help other communities thrive.
