Paying your Geisinger bill just got easier

Starting Sunday, May 19, you’ll be able to pay your bills directly in MyChart. This switch will make it easier to manage your payments, all in one streamlined system. As part of this change, Geisinger BillPay will be going away.

We’ll also gradually transition to paperless billing throughout 2024

Financial arrangements

Before you seek non-emergency treatment at Geisinger, we suggest you contact your employer or insurance company to make sure you are covered and that Geisinger accepts your insurance. Click for a list of participating insurance plans.

Note that you are responsible for all charges not paid by insurance. We accept personal checks and most major credit cards (Visa and MasterCard).

Apply for Medical Assistance

Depending on your household size and monthly income, you may qualify for Medical Assistance, also known as Medicaid, and sometimes referred to as MA. What kind of care is available through Medical Assistance?

  • Physical health options
  • Mental health/substance abuse services options

If you would like to apply for Medical Assistance, click to use COMPASS to complete an online application on the Pennsylvania Medicaid website.

You can also contact the Patient Service Call Center at 800-640-4206 and request an in-person appointment or speak with a patient financial counselor for assistance in applying or answering questions about Medical Assistance.
