Your application must include:
- Completed application form, which you can download here
- Three letters of recommendation, including one from the program director of your completed residency training in pathology
- Board scores necessary for licensure (Flex, USMLE, National Board Medical Exam)
- ECFMG (for international medical graduates)
- Curriculum vitae and personal statement
You must submit all materials before we can consider your application.
You also need to meet these prerequisites to be a candidate for our cytopathology fellowship:
- Graduation from a fully accredited U.S. medical school or ECFMG certification for graduates of programs outside the United States. International medical graduates should verify that their visa status will permit the completion of their training
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in anatomic pathology or combined anatomic and clinical pathology
- Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic or combined anatomic and clinical pathology
- License or eligibility for permanent and unrestricted license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
The Geisinger Cytopathology Fellowship is proudly participating in the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) unified timeline for 2024–2025 fellowship recruitment. There are two positions available for training year 2024–2025. Completed applications and supplementary material should be submitted prior to July 29, 2022. Interviews will be offered starting Aug. 15, 2022, through Sept. 30, 2022. Accepted applicants will be notified the week of Oct. 3, 2022.
Interviews will be held virtually.
