The Dermatopathology Fellowship Program at Gesinger will participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

• Rank list opens: March 17, 2027
• Rank list certification deadline: April 14, 2027
• Match Day: April 28, 2027

Required application materials

All applicants must submit:

• Application
• Curriculum vitae
• Personal statement
• Dean's letter from medical school
• Medical school transcripts
• Photo
• Successful completion of Steps 1, 2 and 3 of either:
  • United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)
  • Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX)
• Letters of reference:
  • A minimum of 3 recent letters of reference, 1 from current program director

Requirements for international applicants

• Visa status:
  • Hold a J-1 visa, or
  • Be a U.S. permanent resident
  • No other visas will be accepted (H1B are not acceptable)
• ECFMG certification:
  • Must hold a current certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
• U.S. clinical experience:
  • Must have worked in clinical medicine in the United States within the last 2 years
  • Note: An observership does not fulfill this requirement
