Selection criteria

This is a North American Skull Base Society (NASBS) approved fellowship open to neurosurgeons. Applications must be submitted to NASBS Neurosurgery Skull Base Fellowship Match Application - NASBS during open application cycle. 

In general, this Skull Base Fellowship program is offered to graduates of American and international neurosurgical programs. You must be eligible for a Pennsylvania State Medical Training License, which you need to secure before the fellowship starts. To obtain the license, candidates must have completed three years of residency training in the United States or Canada. Foreign applicants must have passed the ECFMG or FMGEMS, as well as the FLEX exams. Any decisions about recognition of foreign training or equivalency of training will be made by the program leadership. 

Your application must include:

  • 1 letter of Intent
  • 1 curriculum Vitae
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • USMLE/COMLEX score report
  • Medical school diploma
  • Verification of completion of residency
  • Certified copy of currently valid ECFMG certificate (applicable for international medical graduates only)
