We accept applications for our programs through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our fellowship and residency programs participate in the National Resident Matching Program.

Selection overview

Each year, we select two residents and two fellows for our programs. The residency academic year begins July 1 and the fellowship academic year begins Aug. 1. Applicants are selected for interviews based on several criteria, including:

• Personal standards of faculty members and current residents
• Medical school transcripts
• Letters of recommendation
• USMLE/COMLEX scores
• Fellowship applicants need to upload general surgery in-service exam results

All interviews will take place virtually according to the timelines outlined in our FAQs.

If selected to interview, you’ll meet with our leadership and spend time with current fellows/residents. You’ll get in-depth information about the program and have the opportunity to ask questions.
