 Apply/contact

Geisinger’s PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency is an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency program. We have two residency positions and participate in the ASHP Resident Matching Program as well as the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).

To apply to the Critical Care Pharmacy Residency, you must submit the following materials via PhORCAS:

  • Letter of intent outlining career objectives
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Academic transcripts
  • Three professional recommendations

In addition, you will need a PharmD or equivalent degree (from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education [ACPE] accredited school or college) and to be licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Licensure requirements are available on the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy website. You must be participating in, or have completed, an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency program or one in the ASHP accreditation process (i.e., one with candidate or preliminary accreditation status).

The deadline for application is Jan. 8. The residency begins July 1 and ends June 30. Individual interviews will be scheduled by invitation. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. All candidates will be notified regarding the status of their application by Jan. 30.

As an ASHP Resident Matching Program site participant, this site agrees that no person at this site will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any residency applicant.
