  Why Geisinger? I chose Geisinger because of the incomparable culture and identity that has withstood the test of time for 50 years. I got a glimpse of this as a medical student during my away rotation and continue to see it as I approach the end of residency. We aren’t just colleagues, but some of the best friends that are like family. I also love how this is a rural community with medical resources that you would typically expect in a large city.

  Why Geisinger? Geisinger in Danville provides a unique opportunity to blend the training of a Level 1 trauma center and large catchment area, high volume tertiary care center with the friendly and welcoming feeling of a community hospital. From unique patient populations and disease pathology, high acuity patients from a large catchment area, camaraderie between all of the residents, attendings, nurses, and other staff, and the welcoming and friendly surrounding community, it is truly a wonderful place to pursue residency training.
