The Geisinger Lewistown Pharmacy Residency program accepts applications through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) and participates in the national match. Submit the following materials via PhORCAS:

  • Pharmacy residency letter of intent outlining career objectives
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Academic transcripts
  • Three professional recommendations

You’re also required to have a Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited school or college. You’re also welcome to apply if you have certification from the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC). You must be licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Licensure requirements are available on the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy website. Be sure you meet all the requirements for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. You must be licensed within the first 60 days of our pharmacy residency programs.

The deadline for application is Jan. 3, 2024. The residency year begins June 17, 2024, and ends June 30, 2025. Individual interviews are required and are scheduled by invitation. Interviews will be conducted in a virtual setting. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. All candidates will be notified regarding the status of their application by Jan. 19, 2024.
