Pediatric Dentistry Residency

Comprehensive, caring, committed to community.

About us

Natalie Stinton, DMD, program director

Whether your interest in pediatric dentistry is focused on basic dental health or solving complex issues, our advanced two-year certificate program is the right fit. A Geisinger Pediatric Dentistry residency will expose you to cases you may never see in your career again. But if you do, you’ll be prepared because of your work here.

That’s by design. Geisinger Pediatric Dentistry in Danville, Pa., is based in a rural location yet attracts patients from all over northeastern and central Pennsylvania. Here, as one of only four residents per year, you’ll have all-encompassing clinical exposure to treating healthy and medically compromised children. Work side by side with oral surgeons and orthodontists in the department to learn complex interdisciplinary treatment approaches.

Our program takes place in an outstanding hospital environment and strikes a balance between didactic and clinical education. You’ll learn during lectures from medical specialties in the hospital while also gaining operating room experience and strong orthodontic education. Our curriculum is taught in accordance with the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines.

Geisinger residents balance the intensity of their training with the laid-back, welcoming environment of small-town Pennsylvania. Here, the cost of living is inexpensive, the recreation opportunities are plentiful, and you’ll never have to deal with stressful commutes. Our graduates tell us their time here was invaluable, both personally and professionally — it’s incredibly rewarding to train in this area and serve an underserved population.

This is your opportunity to learn in a strong program that offers the perfect foundation for a lifelong career. We’re excited for you to learn more.
