Why Geisinger? I was honored to join Geisinger and the Center for Pharmacy Innovation and Outcomes (CPIO) as a post-doctoral fellow because no other fellowship offered as much of an opportunity to grow. Joining Geisinger, I was given the opportunity to grow personally, academically and professionally. What makes this opportunity unique is how the CPIO allows you to cater the experience to your own interests. No other fellowship gives you complete autonomy to join projects you are interested in, lead your own research, choose a degree they will pay for and be funded to travel to conferences and events. I am a student, research scientist and a fourth-generation pharmacist getting un-matched exposure in a cutting-edge department that is impacting pharmacy practice and healthcare as a whole. It sounds cool to say and is even cooler to be a part of!
