Anthony W. Olson, PhD, PharmD
Research Interests
Dr. Olson is an associate professor and clinician scientist in Geisinger's Center for Pharmacy Innovation and Outcomes. His T3/T4 translational research investigates team-based, person-centered care approaches and interventions for tailoring outpatient pharmacist care throughout the life course of individuals and populations. More recently, this work has incorporated advanced technologies, such as large language models, to advance patient care. Dr. Olson's work has been supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Disease Control Foundation, the Health Resources and Services Administration and the National Institutes of Health. He has employed several quantitative and qualitative methodologies in this work, including the Dillman survey methods, Kellogg logic models, Delphi method and Rigorous and Accelerated Data Reduction (RADaR) technique. Dr. Olson has served as an officer and executive committee member for the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Pharmaceutical Research & Science and the Minnesota Pharmacists Association as well as the scientific lead for the Pharmacy Scientific Interest Group for the Health Care Systems Research Network. He is also a member of the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association Editorial Advisory Board.
