Application and program time line

The program offers rolling admissions; candidates may apply at any time.

Admission requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program
• NCCPA certification for PA candidates
• Certification in adult acute care or adult gerontology acute care for NP candidates
• Pennsylvania license that allows the advanced practitioner to work with the patient population served by the residency
• Minimum degree: Master of Science
• Curriculum vitae
• Completion of Geisinger’s online application
• Personal narrative
• Letter of recommendation from program director
• Completion of phone and on-site personal
  interview
• Successful completion of Geisinger credentialing process
