Virtual orientation sessions
We have coordinated virtual orientation sessions for new incoming residents and fellows.
Brief summary and content for each session is listed below:
Welcome to Geisinger
All incoming residents and fellows should attend at least one "Welcome to Geisinger" session.
This session will cover upcoming important correspondences, key onboarding deadlines and a comprehensive review of all onboarding requirements.
Visas
All incoming residents and fellows should attend the Visa session if they require an H1B Visa or J1 Visa to start their Geisinger program.
This session will review the step-by-step process for obtaining a J1 and H1B Visa, applying for SSN and the responsibilities of resident/fellow on Visa, and will provide a Q&A where current residents and fellows on visas can assist with answering questions.
